Who is Heart 'n Soul?

Since the band’s inception in 2008, Heart ‘n Soul has become Columbia’s premier dance band! Audiences will think they have stepped back in time when they hear R&B and Doo Wop tunes from the 50s, 60s and 70s.  Heart 'n Soul offers its audiences a toe tapping, hand clapping, and shag dancing good time.

Musicians in the band have played with the best; now they are bringing their best to South Carolina. Several members are listed in the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame in Macon, Ga. Some have backed up legends such as Aretha Franklin, Billy Stewart, James Brown, The Temptations, Chicago, and Stevie Wonder. Within the group, members have performed with over 25 bands. All have had careers ranging from CPAs to National Park ranger, but they have continued their love of classic R&B music by performing with various bands over the years.

As a 501(c)3 nonprofit organization, Heart ‘n Soul has helped charities raise over $4 Million and has directly contributed more than $400,000 to local charities.  Heart ‘n Soul was awarded the GROUP CHAMPION AWARD for BEST OF PHILANTHROPY by the CENTRAL CAROLINA COMMUNITY FOUNDATION and the COMMUNITY BUILDERS AWARD from MUNGO HOMES in partnership with WIS-TV. Our stated purpose and mission is “Having Fun Giving Back,”
